Case Studies

The cooperative provides warehousing to trading companies and wholesalers — its members — that have no storage facilities of their own, handling custody and despatch on their behalf. Working in a spirit of mutual cooperation, it helps the businesses involved build their prospects together, and raises operating performance through digital management. 1. Corporate website 2. To win market share, the major chain groups are opening outlets aggressively — some launching three or four new brands at once, drawing customers in through sheer scale and novelty. With labour in short supply, a till system staff can pick up in minutes, paired with online ordering, has become the decisive factor in holding on to both people and customers.

A break from conventional stock control: SKU movements are traced end to end, from online sales through warehouse operations to international shipping, giving firm control over safety stock levels and the timing of container arrivals.

Continuous recording is paired with edge computing, so data from the detector on site is processed and analysed as it arrives. Machine learning lets the detection unit adapt to the characteristics and rhythms of each location — this is what is meant by artificial intelligence (AI). The result is simpler installation and commissioning, less complex cabling to maintain afterwards, and less time spent on site inspections.

Intelligent energy management puts IoT devices and analytics to work tracking and optimising the rate of energy consumption across the full cycle: generation, storage, distribution and use.

Digital environmental management means making the systems we can control rather more intelligent. Through a wide range of parameter settings, information passing between devices, and a large array of sensors, the building senses changes in conditions outside and in, and decides for itself how to respond.
